Default GE Superadio lll VS DX-398

I tend to feel as if the DX-398 seems to be more sensitive with AM
when used with the RS loop I recently obtained. It's a pain though
when you have to stick the radio in the middle of the loop. The GE
Superadio seems to be less selective, for example, I could pick up
lubavicher radion on 1710 with the DX-398 but nothing but noise on the
superadio.

Whats your experiences?

Put the radio inside the loop? Interesting, never tried that. I have
the same setup; DX-398 and RS loop for AM. I plug the loop
antenna into the external antenna port on the radio. Sensitivity
and selectivity are excellent. The poor dial calibration on the GE
SR3 is a drawback.

I don't understand the big ruckus about the calibration with the GE SR III.
I usually tune by ear anyways. A slide rule dial will not be accurate, so
what's the big deal?

I think it's because some of GE SR3's have dial calibration that is
WAY off, not just a reasonable amount...which most folks just learn to
live with.
