![]() "Jack" wrote in message ... I was just checking through the shortwave stuph, and saw this ad for a Tecsun R-9700DX radio. Check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=3050338 870 Scroll down to the Shipping section for a *gut-busting* laugh! This is one of many similar listings by this seller. Looking at the merchandise and *outrageous* shipping charges, I think he's listing under several names. -Jack- The radios are being shipped from China. The Tescun 2000 being sold is the same at the Grundig S350 which sells for $100 in the US plus tax or shipping depending. If you can get the 2000 for $36 plus $38 shipping that is still under the US price. That of course is providing the seller is legit. The little analog "professional" reciever is a total rip. Look at the two 2000's already sold and the prices they went for seems kind of odd a 2000 went for $17.50 plus the $38 shipping, seems a bit odd Greg |

Jack:
Here's a link to the Jwin m-14 in the U.S. ( cheap) http://store.yahoo.com/kb-electronics/jx-m14.html Dan In article , Jack writes: shrug I'd buy it under the Grundig label. Whether he's legit or not, I'd rather have a US warranty, and not have to worry about whether it will make the trip intact. I want to try out one of those cheap JWIN "digilog" portables going for under $20 or so. But I'm not gonna order from China. g -jack- -- Happy enough with my R-5000 and DX-398 |

So what? I just bought a BCL2000 from him for $42+ $38 shipping! That's
STILL $20 + shipping less than the Grundig S-350. (Same radio) "Jack" wrote in message ... I was just checking through the shortwave stuph, and saw this ad for a Tecsun R-9700DX radio. FWIW: The eBay Seller "liypn" is a Licensed (Commercial) Exporter
from Shanghai and Hong Kong China (PRC) so his express 'postage' costs includes additional fees beyond simple postage. I bought a "RED" Tecsun BCL-2000 and a R-919 from him; both were New-in-the-Box Radios; and I was very please with the service and prompt delivery. For move information on the Grundig S350 go to the Grundig S350 eGroup on YAHOO! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Grundig-S-350/ ~ RHF .. .. = = = "Jim Hackett" = = = wrote in message link.net...
