For RTTY, CW, and SSTV, you need to be looking in the amateur radio bands. If you go to http://www.arrl.org/FandES/field/reg.../bandplan.html , the amateur radio band plans are listed. You will also need to study up on what bands are most appropriate for the time of day that you are listening. Some bands are good in the daytime while others are good at night. |

There's loads of stuff out there in the daytime. And if you've in the Pacific Northwest, forget it for the time being. God hates us at the moment and the reception here is terrible. FW |

Yep. What I think it is Steve, is that most people( I used to be one of them) don't think there's much to hear during the daytime and when they do listen, they don't go high enough in the spectrum to hear anything. Lots of listening, both BCB and shortwave to hear during the day.:-) |
