Is it possible to catch a signal targeted Europe in California? "Targeting" implies several things. For example, if a broadcaster is targeting a particular transmission to Africa, it will: - Use an antenna that beams it's signal toward Africa. - Choose a time and frequency that provides good propagation to Africa. - Choose a language that will be widely understood in Africa. - Choose a time of day when people in that area will be likely to be listening. - Choose topics of interest to people in that area. That being said, it's certainly possible for people outside the target zone to hear the broadcast. Art Harris N2AH |
