They work about as well as you can get a single loop to work, balanced and aimable to a fine degree, stable regeneration to narrow the bandwidth. For about $600 you can set up two active whips and an ANC-4 and do better than a single loop (or set up a whip and an active broadband loop with an ANC-4, so they can be co-located).
