I have listened for a couple of weeks now, and
I'm bored out of my mind. Honestly, I gave it a
chance, but No-Doz should not be a prerequisite
for listening. I wanted Air America to be something,
but it's just too boring to believe.

I will certainly listen in a month or so - if they're
still around.

I'm sure that Rush and Hannity were no more entertaining when they

started
out..

I'm not sure that Hannity qualifies as entertaining even now, but how
can you be sure what they were when they started out if you weren't
tuned in (assuming that's the case)? BTW, I could be wrong, but I
don't think the Air America hosts are exactly starting out, either.
The fact that the network is new doesn't necessarily qualify the hosts
as rookies. Franken, for one, has been honing his skills as a world
class windbag on a level with the most gaseous conservative
broadcasters for some time now.

ROTFLMAO!!!! Good one.. touche' But to answer your question, almost
nobody (irregardless of whether they have talent on loan from God) is very
good when they start out.. I'm sure that even those famous debaters Mrs.
Lincoln and Douglas started out as something less than stellar.. we all
learn as we go.. (hard to learn any other way).

Yeah, but couldn't Air America find some radio talent that's good right now?
Real talent is a rare commidity, and most people who aren't good now will
never be good. Why should Air America play proving ground for a bunch of
grade B and C talent?

And it's not like a host actually has to be a liberal to sound like a
liberal. I suspect there's plenty of talented phonies to pick from.

For my money I think Randi Rhodes is the best thing going on this network.
Of couse that's a biased opinion since I've listened to her for years when
she
was broadcasting locally here in S. Florida. I can still hear her program
out of
West Palm Beach about 40 miles North of here with the help of a Radio Shack
loop. Apparently her boss here thought enough of her to let her keep her
time slot here and do her show out of New York.
