I'm familiar with the usual shortwave bands but I recently got back into SW
broadcast listening and am finding a screed of stations around 8200KHz.

Is there a new 36m band..? Sorry if this has been asked over and over again!

Found them loud and clear on a Tecsun PL200 and verified them last night with a
Sony SW55.

Well, there's nothing in that range as far as broadcasting.

AFAIK, there is no such band for broadcast purposes. Have you been
able to identify any of these stations?

Are these stations readable off the whip ??
- What kind of antenna are you using; and what language ( if youy can tell)
are the station(s ) broadcasting in..

- Also what times ( UTC) do they come on... and sign off ?
