I just got the Wellbrook ALA100. This is a "roll your own loop" loop
antenna. [You get two binding posts to which you attach your home made
loop.] I find the low frequency (BCB down to beacons) performace to be
better than any long wire. I'm still evaluating if it is better than a
long wire for shortwave performance. It is certainly easier to rotate
a loop to null an interfering signal than it is to rotate a long wire.

Have you used one or both of these loop active antennas?

How do they perform? Are they worth the purchase price?
