Yes, Craig at Kiwa has had an orthogonal, fixed loop MW antenna in the
prototyping stages for at least a couple years now. I had an email from him last week, and he still has plans to pursue it further. It uses two air-core loops at right angles to each other, and they could be remotely sited from the control box. The loops are electronically "slewed" or phased in direction; no need for mechanical adjustments. He said that this design has worked well but more development is needed. SNIP RUMOR - Has it that Kiwa Electronics is currently working on KIWA ELECTRONICS = http://www.kiwa.com/ a 'new' AM/MW {Loop?Ferrite} Antenna for AM/MW DXers. . question -?- now is that true ~ RHF . . |

GA,
.. Thank You for the Status Report on "Craig's" new Work-in-Progress. .. Sounds like a super idea for a Dual Loop Antenna that has real potential for DXing the AM/MW Band. .. ~ RHF |
