Hello. After much thought, research, and alcohol consumption I finally
ordered a 545 from Universal Radio. I did not get the CGD-197 TCXO option
because what little information I found on its benefits (mostly from Dave
Z's page) it seemed to fail to the cost-benefit test. Also, my soldering
skills are fairly primitive and the installation might result in disaster.



I was curious weather any of you have this option in stalled and if you
think it was worth the money. Also, I like to get an opinion if I could
probably install this option with success even if my soldering ability is at
the novice level.
