... subject to blackmail and/or extortion -- ask the N.J. governor. Except Governor McGreevey wasn't blackmailed or extorted. When Cipel made his demand, reportedly for an absurd $50 million, McGreevey, through his attorneys, told him to drop dead. Cipel countered by lowering his demands and then lowering them again. Finally, McGreevey went on live, national, network television and said "I am a gay American." That pretty much ended any threat of blackmail or extortion, didn't it? Don't let the door hit you on the way out of the country, Cipel. An out gay person is no more subject to blackmail and extortion than I am. I was going to say "than you are," but we don't know about you, do we? Do you want a queer advising Homeland Security on the security of this nation and all of its inhabitants? You really don't have any choice. I am sure that gay people are represented at DHS just as they are in all other walks of life. If you can't handle that, then that's your problem. |
