Kerry would never behave like that. He said that on 9/11 he sat there
for about 40 minutes unable to think when the passenger jets hit the
twin towers. Then he heard another plane hit the Pentagon.

And it was just not only 'he' who sat there for around 40 minutes 'unable to
think'. Wasn't he in Daschel's office with other Dems for a 'leadership' meeting?
As I recall what was said, Kerry stated that 'we' sat there unable to think, and
as it turned out due to the time span of aircraft hitting the WTC, and then
ultimately hitting the Pentagon that it had to be around 40 minutes or so.

The 'we sat there unable to think' quote is directly attributable to Kerry.
