let the flame war begin Okay, I must have missed something here... posting logs to this newsgroup is a bad thing? I've seen others do the same thing, but no flamefest follows. It seems the OP is being singled out. Is it known for a *fact* that he is a phony/list logger/time traveler/radioless or merely speculation - or not even that? If you look at the logs Bryant posts you'll find he logs a station about every two minutes. When he tunes something in, if he doesn't recognize it right away, he looks it up on a schedule, finds the best fit, writes it down, and moves to the next one. Reminds me a bit of the cell phone ad "can you hear me now?" Purists feel you should wait until the station gives positive identification. He's bound to get some errors, so I'd be concerned if he was doing it for national security. But most of his logs probably are accurate. If you look in the archives, you'll find he's been a colorful character, and used to spend a lot of time in flame wars - calling just about anyone who disagreed with him a racist - even if race had nothing to do with the discussion. |

Yes, I do use ILG, HFCC, and EiBi databases to determine if the language being used matched up with known broadcasters, most of which have been broadcasting on the same freqs and times for years. I also look for IDs, you'll see many mentioned in the logs. Actually, when listening to news, two minutes is plenty of time to catch a correspondent ID. It's possible, but I think it will be difficult. These aren't low-powered Africans. My logs are mainly int'l broadcasters. My receiver, in recent logs, is a Degen 1103. And I'm not doing it for national security - I'm doing it for fun. Yes, this NG used to have a lot of racist posters. Any trip to the archives will make that readily apparent. At one time instead of an infestation of pro-Bush OT posts, we used to have a lot of people posting pro-racism posts. So much so, in fact, that some major racists like Kevin Strom of the National Alliance used to hang out in here. A lot of folks, ala Hal Turner, used to suggest that the racist posts were simply accurate. I'm not ashamed of helping to drive some of those folks out of this NG. But I'm trying my best to make some actual SW-related posts. Hopefully the passing of Nov. 2 will see people like Mark Holden return to shortwave. For others, like Telamon and DXAce, they'll be here, acting uncivilly and demeaning others, for trying to get this NG back to SW. I'm not against getting the newsgroup on to SW, but neither am I against pointing out your obvious and blatant lies. Some of them will go to great lengths to make up crap up and then repeat the lies 20 times a day. I for one have made nothing up. You, on the other hand certainly have. By the way, I just got off the phone with Louisville Technical Institute. That's 1-800-844-6528 by the way. dxAce |

And isn't it indicative of the type of person that DXAss really is? He admits, in public, to stalking activities like calling employers. This is the type of behavior that Republicans seem to openly embrace. Bet you won't hear a single one of them condone the personality faults that Steve Lare displays daily in this NG. Says something about them as human beings. Hey, Fat Boy, I didn't speak to your employer, I was trying to get ahold of you. Take a deep breath, grab some meds and calm down. You are truly an idiot, and I just proved it again. dxAce |

On the other hand, is it stalking when one is trying to determine your academic credentials? Like the PhD you lied about? Is it stalking when one checks with your employer to determine if you had been fired, as you stated to me in your phone call? Is it stalking to determine the facts as you stated regarding your drug bust while employed at Weber State University? No... that's just checking the FACTS, something that you stupid Liberal twits wish that no one was able to do. Wanna debate, Fat Boy? Bring it on! dxAce |

Did you not indicate that you'd received a PhD from Wayne State University? Was it stalking to call Wayne State University and inquire as to whether you'd actually received that PhD? You did not receive that PhD, did you? If you've got a stalking case, I'd advise you to get one of your fat assed lawyer relatives on it right away. But you don't do you? Just more blather, from a follower of Dan Blather. dxAce |
