Curious to see how far some of the local (NYC) 50 kilowatt mw stations can be heard with regularity and/or if they have been heard very far away from time to time... Anyone outside the area please respond with comment and location. 660 WFAN 710 WOR 770 WBC 880 WCBS 1010 WINS 1050 WEVD 1130 WBBR 1560 WQEW -- Respectfully, Michael Location: New Jersey I can hear WFAN, WOR, WABC, WCBS, WINS, WBBR, day and night. The daytime reception via ground wave has no fading while the night time signals have the typical fading caused by skywave propagation interfering with the ground wave signal. I'm using a Drake-R8 with a 60-ft longwire. My QTH is about 200-miles north of NYC. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |
