Subject: Lets compare Radios From: "Burr" Date: Thu, 14 Oct 2004 16:34:21 GMT Hi Dan, How's NY? Hi Burr - NYC is Still here, ! Full of Shows and Museums and History and Bars and Restaurants... all quite nice. Getting a bit nippy at night, touch of fall Colors in The Parks I get up before the Sun Rises, see some of the morning stars :-) Definitey fall . . . She uses my YB400 right now and seems to enjoy listening to her home stuff (Philippines) even if there is not much to it. AHHHHH ! ! ! ! ! ! - Totally different story now; get her a Real radio ... the Silver Sony 7600 GR would be my choice; http://www.rnw.nl/realradio/html/icf-sw7600gr.html - But if she likes your Grundig, then get her one of her own... Maybe, even a cheap active antenna if need be.. It's like me listening to VOA when I am overseas. They talk to slow and only broadcast what "they" want to be heard. I use to listen to Radio Moscow just to get the true USA local news. Yes; Still listen mostly to the BBC feed from ascension Island for " Outside U.S. News; - Or radio Canada , Australia and occasionally New Zealand -- Dan / NYC ( sangean 606A, R-75 & Jwin Junk DX M14 ) |
