Interesting radio. Reminds me of a Sony 7700 with that display, but
this one appears to have full coverage. I've got several questions.

Can it be run on mains power without having the rechargeable batteries
inserted?
Does it use an outboard power converter (wall wart)? If so, wouldn't
a 110v supply work with the right pin connector?

Radiointel website review was complimentary in many areas, but found
fault with ergonomic issues. Specifically:

The volume control can't be accessed directly...one has to push the
volume button and wait for the tuning knob to change functions! Then
to tune the process has to be reversed.

One can't tune to an out of band frequency (7501) without using the
keypad. If that is true then how does one tune to 7502, 7503, etc.
Hopefully not direct entry.

The analog dial moves in large jumps. Not a big deal, but given that
the analog display occupies so much space it should be accurate.

Have the ergonomic issues been addressed? If not are they a big deal
in use? Obvious questions I'm sure, but this radio is completely new
to me and interesting at current prices.

TIA - John
