First you call the fine American patriots on Air America ''Marxist
ninnies'' then you admit you have never listened. I challenge you to
point out factual inaccuracies on their broadcasts in a manner similar
to the mediamatters.org web site and its debunking of the Limbaugh/Fox
News daily parade of lies.

Come on now, Mediamatters? This is a blatently liberal leaning site. Typical
kool-aid drinker.

Media Matters for America is a Web-based, not-for-profit progressive

analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.
Conservative misinformation is defined as news or commentary presented in
the media that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the
conservative agenda.

Do they still allow cussing (at least in English, don't know about
in Spanish) on Mexican stations? (I recall XETRA-FM getting away with
a few f-bombs in the 80's....)

Is it considered cussing if the words don't exist in the country's
official language?

Under Noble, that would have been forbidden because we followed both
country's regulations. Things happen. Wardrobes malfunction. I suspect
most stations have had various slips of the tongue the delay didn't
catch.

Come to think of it, this might have not been XETRA-FM, but another
English language FM out of Tijuana....one night, they played Steely
Dan's "Show Biz Kids", uncensored.

Your venom is clouding your ability to read.

I asked you to use their style and or format to support your
accusations. I did not ask you to adopt their ideology, did I?

I've listened to some Air America programs (limited, admittedly),
hoping for a demonstrably solid front to to counteract the blatant
follishnes sof the Limbaughs out there. I tend to the left of center,
but I am not truly a "leftie" on average...I want to hear some common
sense and rational approaches to problems that this nation faces that
the conservative cuckoobirds cannot even begin to fathom in their
jingoism. After reading some of Al Franken and simply seeing the
pathetic showing of the Right's arguably elected leader, I was hoping
AA would get to it.

I was disappointed, that's all. They're too far left to be believable,
even when they are correct. Their socialistic tendencies cloud the
issues. They even advertised themselves as being "red" (in the
communist sense) for God's sake - who is going to buy that?

If you want to bring a nation together in a state of rationality, you
don't find ways to tear it farther apart, even when you tell the hard
truth - the Americans obviously don't really want to hear it, or else
cannot fathom it because it is beyond them. You offer simple realistic
solutions that appeal to the middle-class, sometimes compassionate,
sometimes tough, but always smart and sober, that middle America can
get into. *Nobody* is doing that.

I haven't listened to any of those guys on either side for awhile out
of disgust - maybe it has changed, I don't know. I do know that
something needs to close the rift in the USA, and crackpot radio isn't
going to do it.

You need to start listening to stations to the left of 92.0 FM if you expect
to hear factual discussions of issues.

Commercial radio, as long as they have zero obligation to broadcast in the
public interest anymore, will never do any programs that they don't feel
will sell regardless of how important the issues are to their community or
how well documented the content.

Have you ever lived in a socialist country? Have you ever spent time in one?
There is no similarity between AA and a socialist regime.

Crackpot radio isn't going to have any effect at all. Radio is not
where people form their political or social opinions. At his highest
point, Talk Radio's most listened to personality had a 4 rating
(percentage of population). Simple aritmetic tells us that 96% of the
population was doing something else. Most of that 4% were listening
because he used to be funny or to reinforce what they already
believed.

I really wish Talk Radio had that kind of influence. I simply doesn't.
The only influence it's had on you is to make you turn it off. It's
intended at entertainment. If you make your voting decisions by
listening to Sean Hannity, you'd probably be willing to allow a
proctologist to perform brain surgery on you. A proctologist would be
the only practitioner able to locate your brain.

If it had no effect on you, I wouldn't worry about the efffect it has
on others.
