Hey Honus,
Your talking to a Marine, some ones going to pinch your head off and

put
it where the sun don't shine.

I was speaking to Al Arduengo on a finer point of Usenet etiquette. I also
brought up cuhulin. I'm not familiar with Arduengo's military background, if
he has one. I'm familiar with cuhulin's, though...and he was in the Army
IIRC. So I can only assume that you think I'm addressing you, although I'm
not sure why. I haven't addressed you in this thread. As a matter of fact, I
may have never addressed you at all, ever. So, if you're the Marine in
question, let me assure you that I wasn't speaking to you. Besides that,
nothing in my post could be considered critical of you in any way, since you
never came up. How you got yourself involved in this I don't know. Am I'm
mistaken about cuhulin, and he was in fact in the Corps? As for someone
pinching my head off, keep your empty threats to yourself. The last thing
that impresses me is some one making threats from behind his keyboard. Does
that apply to you? I don't know...that's for you to decide.

Don't forget.

Don't forget what?

Burr

PS: Use your real name, if your a man.

Come threaten me to my face, if you're a man.

See how easy that was? Hollow threats impress no one. I could post using
the name Burr Patterson and you'd have no way of knowing if it was true or
not. Anyone on the net can call themselves whatever they want to. Does it
bother you that I don't use my real name? Great! That's one of the reasons
that I don't do it. Not only that, Honus is a real surname. If I hadn't told
you that Honus wasn't my name, you'd just look like an ass for accusing me
of using a nym because I could easily claim (and "prove") that it -was- my
real name. ( www.whitepages.com ) It's all kind of funny, coming from a guy
named Burr. Until someone that I trust about vouches for you, or until I
investigate it for myself (which I have no plans on doing) I've no assurance
that that's your real name. I'm sure it is, but it doesn't matter whether it
is or not. I'm not going to come looking for you. I'm not going to call you
at home. I'm not going to send you a mail bomb. Were you planning on coming
looking for me? I'm sure that's not the case. So get over it. It
means -nothing-, and I'm not about to start using my real name because you
want me to, or because you think less of me since I don't.

Oh, wait...was that use your real name directed at cuhulin, and not me? Or
one of the other guys here that don't use their real names? No...I didn't
think so.
