"dxAce" wrote in message ... The only reason I have no degree is that I was approached by a headhunter before graduation with a unique opportunity. Since going to college was a lark, I skipped out. I was, in case you did not notice, a radio station owner at age 17. Unlike many, I went to college to get exposure to disciplines not normally taught in biz school or broadcast school... things like cultural anthropology, sociology, music, etc. Does the word puffery mean anything to you? Yes, and it has a precise definition. Puffery involves making broad, generalizing and unsustainable statements about a product or service in advertising. A good example would be "the richest taste." Since "rich taste" is indefinable, but still a positive, this is puffery. Things that can be defined, proven or quantified are not, generally, the subject of puffery. As usual, your tangential approach, based on casting doubt by changing the argument, is not working. Other than an occasional "Nibi Nibi Islands ATC active this morning on 6069" you ware a waste of bandwidth. |
