quake / tsunami along the OR & WA coasts.

Given the recent activity of Mt. St. Helens, I'd say earthquakes are a
definitely possibility in that part of the world. It's a geologically
active part of the world.

A tsunami, though obviously not unknown on the left coast, is more
unlikely simply because there are more specific circumstances necessary
for that to happen.

At the time I posted that Stan Deyo was showing high water temperature
contrasts (from government sources) very close together just off the
Washington & Oregon coasts. This was BEFORE Mt. St. Helens blew this
last time, so there could well be a connection. The mount had been
building for some time recently but had not blown, to my knowledge.

The tsunami, it was presumed would/could be a result of a deep under
water quake. I heard some discussion on which caused the greater
tsunami, a deep or shallow quake. I think it was the one in deep water,
but the magnitude of the quake would have a lot to do with it.

Haven't checked Steve's web site in a couple of days, but he keeps it
updated pretty well on quakes around the globe - as well as active
volcanoes.

i.e. the temp charts. I think this only works over water as the source
of the info is limited to water temperatures from naval sources. His
method of prediction is invalid on land.
