That's something a thieving snake would do. I'd just as soon see W-D
get what they deserve.

BTW, as a parent of three now fully grown children I never found a
situation in public or private where it was necessary to slap a child.
For those who subscribe to the sadist school of child rearing that kind
of behavior might be appropriate. For most of us who raise children
according to 20th century standards it isn't.

You have a not so subtle way of taking pot shots at God's laws.

Neither would "Dr. Spook" when he wrote his book on child rearing but it
seems he recanted some of his crazy ideas before he died. I am not
surprised at the antagonism this subject has raised as very few wish to
live by God's laws.

Check out the following scriptures. The first three are in the book of
Proverbs, KJV of the Bible. Solomon was the wisest man to ever live,
besides Jesus Christ Himself. I'd rather take his advise than all that
the likes of Barney Franks, Teddy Kennedy or anyone in the state of
Georgia can provide.

Pr 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of
correction shall drive it far from him.

Pr 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest
him with the rod, he shall not die.

Pr 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself
bringeth his mother to shame.

You'd better get used to the rod. Jesus Christ may have came as a baby
weakling the first time. At least this is the way He is all too often
portrayed. However, He's coming again to RULE this world with a ROD OF
IRON! I suspect a lot of us used to the "democratic process" are going
to have a lot of adapting to do.

Re 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations
with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

If the child is as you say truly incorrigible then the parent better
figure out what they are doing wrong in the raising of that child and
correct the childs behavior that way.

I didn't make it up. I quoted a newspaper writer. And, I agree with
you on one point. She should have been able to tell him ONCE and have
it ended. This is probably a sign that she had "promised" him
discipline a few times before and he didn't get it. I've seen parents
who only had to look at a child, or snap their fingers once if necessary
to get their attention, and actions were immediately reversed.

Now, I'll tell you a story of a mother who was forever threatening to
slap a child's head off, or worse, and seldom followed up.

Once a little boy went across the street to get the mail and got hit by
an automobile on the way back to the house. Later the little boy's
sister said, "At least now we know mommy loves us." When asked what her
twin brother getting hit with an automobile had to do with proof that
"mommy loves us" she said the following. "Cause she always said if we
play in the road and get hit by a car she was going to leave us laying
there like a dog....But she didn't. She took [brother's name] to the
hospital!" :-)

Oh, don't forget that the GA government which made such a law also
thinks it's all right to murder UNBORN children by ripping them apart
limb for limb. Better still (?) they approve of the alleged "partial
birth abortion" which is to completely remove the child, via a breeched
birth, except for its head, stab it in the base of the skull to suck the
brains out and make sure that if it does live it will forever be a
vegetable, then remove the rest of the head and start selling off baby
parts. This is SUPPOSEDLY so some Alzheimer's patient can think a
little better or some old lady can get rid of a wrinkle!

St. John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I [Jesus Christ] am come that they might have life, and
that they might have it more abundantly."

I'd rather stick with God's word than all that mortal man can dream up!
