Nine Commentaries Quietly Spread in Beijing
Since The Epoch Times published its editorial series “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” in November, Chinese officials have tried to ban their dissemination. But the publication continues to spread quietly. Learning that Sound of Hope International Radio Station broadcasts these commentaries to Mainland China using shortwave signals, more and more Beijing residents are purchasing shortwave radios, reports indicate. According to one Beijing informant, high-quality shortwave radios are particularly easy to sell. "Yesterday, an acquaintance told me how remarkable the sale is that he couldn't believe it. These radios are expensive; US$19.24 is a lot of money. But so many people buy them- they want to hear outside voices." As the “Nine Commentaries” has spread rapidly, more than 20,000 people are withdrawing from the CCP every day, as an Internet withdrawal site has been promoted alongside the commentaries. The CCP has sent special "maintaining advancement" teams to different areas trying to invigorate the party. The Beijing informant said: "After training, these teams are sent to different places for three months. They are sent to the countryside, towns and counties to carry out the 'Maintaining Advancement' campaign." When asked about the campaign, the informant said: "How can you bring freshness back to things already rotten? The answer is obvious." According to other sources, many CCP followers have begun to consider their future options. http://english.epochtimes.com/news/5-3-24/27303.html __________________________________________________ ______ Chinese Communist Party Resignations Will Soon Top One Million Dr. Pang Yubin, a representative of the “Withdraw from the CCP” website, said the CCP is its own worst enemy. The CCP's crisis is caused by its nature, its own corruption and degeneration. Dr. Pang also pointed out that the tide of withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party is a very influential event. In the near future, more and more people will realize this event is changing China's current situation, is rearranging the layout of the world, and is guiding the future of mankind. Mr. Huang Zuwei, the general manager at The Epoch Times' Washington D.C. office, said, "Right now, every five seconds, one person withdraws from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and the speed is accelerating. The ‘Nine Commentaries’ are nine atomic bombs that will terminate the CCP demon. It is hoped that we will soon celebrate the unprecedented withdrawals from the CCP when the numbers reach 500,000, 1,000,000 and 10,000,000.” .... And many of those shortwave radios are made by the Communist Party, intended for picking up CNR broadcasts. But it would be easy to put together the anti-jamming antenna on the RFA website and plug it into the external jack on a Degen 1102 (for example). Hell, one could even attach it onto the whip, although one might have overloading problems. Americans who have bought Degen 1103's meant for Mainland China have reported that the radio comes with a little sticker with a radio tower and the letters "CNR" on it. Despite this unsubtle attempt at persuasion, people are listening to "forbidden" signals, and all you have to do to clear the frequency readout is take out the batteries. Unlike earlier times when you had to carefully adjust the pointer to make sure that a secret policeman didn't discover that you'd been listening to forbidden signals. If the secret police discover a radio with no batteries in it, they can't prove that you've been listening to something you shouldn't. I logged Sound of Hope (Passport says Voice of Hope) on 9965 khz at around 1230 UTC on my last DX round. Oddly, I didn't hear a jammer. According to Passport, the station broadcasts from Palau. ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

I imagine that you don't just "withdraw" from the communist party, but
rather you allow your membership to lapse without paying the renewal. If you march in and tear up your party card, you'll probably end up in a sand mine in outer mongolia. |
