Default Study the Ionosphere

I would like to study to better understand the ionosphere. This way, I
could know which meter or band is open and when.

Does anyone knows of any websites that has this information for newbies?

And, is their a meter chart with a time table available anywhere?
Or an up to date chart where you can locate your location and see what
is open for your area?

Remember the ionosphere is the holy grail for us shortwavers. LOL!

73, SR!
