Default ILGRadio updates

Has anyone received their new password from ILGRado lately? I re-applied
for mine last week, but haven't heard from them. The one I had from last
year has expired. I like ILGRadio because it works so well with my ERGO 4
control program. If I can't get ILGRadio anymore, what other free databases
are available for download?

I got my new one a few days after I e-mailed, but that was immediately after I found
out that the old login data was no good.... January 2005. I may be the only person
he ever responded to in a timely manner.

I wonder how much ILG would charge us for this data? If it was some
reasonable price, and we could get the data when required? Who would be
willing to spend a few $$$??

Yes, a few $$$ for fast, reliable service and frequent updates would be ok.
I'd bet my few $$$ service would be the same though.

I can see it now...

"Dear R.R.S... I paid my few $$$ for an ILG password, but it's been 2 weeks
and I haven't heard from them. Anyone else get theirs?"

Of course I'm saying this after getting my post 1/1/05 password, so I'm not
in the bind others are.

Hello All,

I applied for my ILG password shortly after it was announced that I
would need one. I did not use my Yahoo! address as it is stated that
such sites (Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc.) are sources of "Spam" and therefore
no passwords will be sent to any e-mail addresses at these locations.
(I cannot understand how not sending passwords to a Yahoo! address will
lessen the "Spam" sent to him.) I used the address supplied by my ISP
and I received the password in one day.

Later on, I wrote to him asking about the possibility of paying for his
"premium" updates. After two months, he replied saying that it was not
possible.

You have to follow his instructions TO THE LETTER, hope that he "likes"
your ISP's name, and then have a little bit of luck.

I find that the hurdles are worth it, however, as the ILG database
seemlessly integrates with the RxWINGS Computer Control Program I use
with my AOR AR7030 Plus receiver.

There are two other databases which are very good as well:

http://www.primetimeshortwave.com/

and the PDF file available for downloading at:

http://www.wrth.com/

Both are free and excellent.

I hope this is of some use to you.

Best,

Joe

I find myself once again agreeing with Joe. I applied and had my info
within a week. I use http://homepage.mac.com/jimwatson 's
SWLDataBrowser for Mac OS X for those of you out there who haven't
managed to find good SWL software. He also offers a neat little
greyline/MUF map all for free. He is open to suggestions and updates
stuff often.

ILG is great for me.

Adam
