The Chinese are sitting on $200 Billion of US dollars which are
becoming increasingly worthless. First they bought the British automaker ROVER, then tried to get Unocal, and now are talking to Marconi Communications, the Brit defense contractor. See all those plastic doodads in your closets? See all those Chinese-made clothes? How about TVs and stereos? That's how they'll end up owning everything! |

Want a new TV? All of them are made in Shenzhen. Want a new fridge? It's made in Qingdao. Clothes wear out? Your new ones are made in a Chinese sweatshop. Who decided to place the world's manufacturing capacity in a country that may become unstable in the future, that is run by a tyrannical dictatorship that nearly was overthrown by a religion? Not me. It was the big megacorporations that control everything in our lives. THEY are authoritarian organizations run by men who wield absolute power over their realms, who are more powerful than the President and who treat their employees like plantation slaves. They answer to nobody, and they only care about easy profits. They ruin the economies of whole countries-including America-in pursuit of the almighty dollar. They place the world's manufacturing capacity in a single country, and the world's intellectual property in another single country, because that's where the costs are cheapest. What happens if the CCP collapses, setting off major shortages of nearly everything? Not their problem; they've already gotten their money. When are we going to hold the big corporations accountable for what they do? When are we going to demand that they start placing people above greed? When are we going to demand that they let go of the stranglehold they have on our lives? I don't care if I sound like a commie. A few dozen big companies hold the world hostage and create trade and economic imbalances that threaten to bring capitalism to its knees, all for easy money. It doesn't matter who we vote for, they're bought and paid for. ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

The Chinese are welcome to own everything of mine, as long as they are willing to pay too much for it. I'd be happy to sell my junk for big bucks. With a $200 Billion bankroll, the Chinese could make me very happy indeed. Frank Dresser |
