Followed by the Grundig Satellit 800 M (produced by Eton Corp.) that was claimed to be basically a re-box Drake SW8. Now we have the Eton E1 Radio which some claim is an up-graded and improved Grundig Satellit 800 M. As to what RL Drake Co's specific involvement in the Eton E1; we may never know for sure. But the evolution of this Radio Product from : SW1 SW2 SW8 GS800M Eton E1 is a generally accepted fact. Eton and Tecsun's role in the development and production of the Eton E1 may be much greater then Drakes. But most would agree that the foundation of the design and development knowledge base is Drakes to start with; and still continues to this day. A New Question Arises - Who Is the Indian Radio Poduction "Assembly" Plant 'partner' for the Eton E1 Radio ? ? ? and that's what i thing about that ~ RHF . E1XM = http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ETON-E1-XM-Radio/ I thought the SW8 came first. Then the 1 and 2. |
