Hi Rufus
What do you mean? Take HBO for example. The only "ads" are for their upcoming and new shows Okay, you seem to have been referring to "premium" channnels only then? True that most of them show coming attractions, but even some premiums have taken to showing, albeit lesser amounts, ads between movies or feature programming. But the rest of cable is overrun with commercials, just like broadcast.. I dunno, some people like to enjoy their lives and don't see a corporate agenda or other personal gripes that prevent them from ordering a pay service. It's not that at all, I'm just a cheap ******* and would rather spend the money on other things. Radio gear, guitars/amps/effects, records and compact discs, etc. I got no problems with other doing what they want with their money, or what or where they watch on TV. I enjoy cable TV there was a lot I liked on cable as well, just not enough to make it worth what the cable company, in ever increasing monthly amounts, wanted to charge me for the usage To each his own.... exactly. I'm just relating how I feel about it. I get most my news from the daily paper, still read it from front page to last section daily, and of course from ye olde internet. Get that free so I can live with that, LOL |
