I don't remember how much money it amounted to (about two hundred
million dollars,I think, but I could be way off on that) but about a year or so ago,Mississippi spent a lot of money for some new technology so that the Police and Sheriff's Department's radio communications will work seameslessly together. The technology is for in case of bad weather such as "Katrinas" and it helps communication in evacuating people down South to further up North in Mississippi. It used to be that the Police and Sheriff's Department's had their own seperate radio communications systems and communicating between one and the other was sort of difficult and created confusion between the Departments.Mississippi spent that money very wisely. cuhulin |
