I'm not that far from you and I can pick out KTRH using a Terk loop with a
Boston Recepter on the night stand.
It isn't usually armchair copy but when conditions are very good it is
easily readable. Besides KTRH & WBAP
I don't know of any other MW stations in Tejas that are in hurricane Rita's
strike zone and can make it out of the Southwest.

1200 AM WOAI San Antonio,Texas comes in good on my radio,a little bit of

theme music at the Post Cafeteria at Fort Hood,Texas in 1965.I got so
tired of hearing that Goldfingerrrrrrrr,,,,,,, theme music on the Post
Cafeteria sound system,I quit going to that cafeteria.

WBAP Fort Worth on 820 MHz sounds like a local all throughout the midwest at
night.

At 9 o'clock Thursday night, KTRH 740 in Houston is coming in loud and
clear on my house radios, the CCRadio and the GE SuperRadio III. The
signal's doing a nice job, due West here in San Antonio, about 200
miles.

Radio gets it's name from 'radiating'. When Marie Curie was experminting
with a new element uranium in the late 1800's, she coined the term
'radioactivity' because it radiated 'rays'.
