![]() Eton is not a radio company in the sense that I knew the big companies to be. From National to Kenwood to Yaesu to Panasonic you could count on parts and manuals to be available for some period of time. Eton impresses me as a company whose focus is that of a marketer and distributor of radios, with little interest in providing long term support for older products. And given the price of most of their new radios it is hard to argue too much. They are for the most part complex radios to be thrown away when something breaks. |

It isn't a question of the dollars it costs to maintain a website listing of manuals or not. It is a question of what want to do with the business. And if they are focused on selling the latest crop of radios with little thought to what those radios replaced, then they are doing what many other producers of consumer electronics are doing. How is their tech support line anyway. Are they able to field questions about older Grundig radios? |
