writes: Bottom line: A neat little pocket-portable AM-FM-SW "bang-about" radio that won't hurt much should it fall in the water when boating, become lost, or stolen from the car / office. Digital display makes it easier to tune than the also popular Coby slide-rule radios in this price range (15-25 dollars). Agree.. have picked up 12.095 ( BBC from Ascension) walking around in NYC streets; but does overload. It's very good on batteries, so I use it as an FM source put through Computer speakers. Nice for tooling around on a Bike; if your out in the clear, you can pick up stronger stations. if you crash & it flies apart; you're just out ten bucks ! will try an external antenna later on whilst on Bike.
