Hearing conversation, seemingly in USB, though I'm having trouble
getting it fully dialed in. Seems like a foreign language, but I don't recognize it. Coming in very loudly here in Wisconsin on my Satellit 800 off the whip. Any ideas? |

A daily net is heard at 7055 and you may hear French-speaking hams and others in the band. |

To decode LSB, you'll need a radio with LSB decoding capability, which I don't believe the 800 has. Most cheap radios that have SSB simply have an "SSB" button which is used more for muting QRN/M than for ham listening. For ham reception you'll need a tabletop. FYI. |

No, the Sat 800 has both LSB and USB. I tried the frequency again after
reading dxAce's post...heard what sounded like slightly over-modulated voices using USB, but only heard chirping with LSB. Oh well, not a big deal. |
