I don't need more sets right now, tuned in or not.

I suppose you know how to tune a radio?

Aye, lad I certainly DO. But I don't have to unless I bump the knob
when I awaken, and when the tubes are warmed up it usually stays put! I
had to substitute my JVC CD-4 quad for the ailing Pioneer QX-8000 so my
bedroom system is being adjusted and I hope to have my alarm clock
(with the Sansui timer) going shortly.

I should see if Magic 1278 is still streaming...fine station in a fine
city like Melbourne or even St.Kilda.

Did you know Australia used to have sealed radios? When a person bought a sealed
radio the radio was set to their chosen station and sealed. No user tuning was allowed.
Part of the purchase price of the radio went to the buyers chosen station.

So did the communists, or might I say they were wired into the wall on
a network like cable TV. You could only listen to what was on the
wires.

What does this have to do with that, even if it's interesting trivia?
If you are wanting to troll, it will be self-pleasure on your part. I'm
busy.

IIRC, the radios in "The Village" were even better. You couldn't even
turn them off!

AYE! But unlike wired radios, which actually sell (I know people who
have them), TunaDinnerRadio isn't selling and he's still posting those
stupid surveys!
