Default Service monitor FS

Ramsey COM-3 Service Monitor

100 kc to 1 gig, no blocks. Very easy to use, lightweight, good piece
to take in the field. All many service benches will need. Add a
Sinadder and Bird Wattmeter and you'll have everything you need to
maintain most conventional two way radio equipment.

A service monitor is the most basic piece of RF test equipment and
includes a synthesized high sensitivity receiver keyboard
programmable, modulated precision calibrated signal generator, audio
and RF frequency counter, modulation indicator for both FM and AM,
deviation meter, bargraph frequency error meter, large 4 inch LED
readouts, low battery indicator, internal speaker, volume and squelch,
precision 10 megacycle output for calibration or driving other
equipment. Internal gelcell will power unit for hours.

This unit has the optional extra high stability timebase which was
significant (like $500) extra cost but makes this a standard to which
you can calibrate other equipment. Easy to calibrate this to WWV by
just tuning them in and zero beating the oscillator trimmer. This unit
has been used by me to repair many hundreds of pieces of
communications equipment and currently is on our engineering bench for
aligning new systems. New government contract spec requires us to
replace this with approved equipment costing 10x as much. Supported by
Ramsey and has had all engineering changes incorporated as of about
six months ago. Lifetime warranty on front panel.

Comes with optional extra cost carrying handle and padded carrying
case with pouch for test leads, manual with schematic and extra cost
hard fitted lid for front panel. Sells new for $2750 with high
stability time base. My price $650.

Try finding an IFR for anywhere near that. This is cheap enough to
carry in your truck all the time. Easier to use than an IFR also. Only
13 pounds -- beats carrying a 60 pound $20K IFR up an elevator shaft
to service a repeater. This has been a good friend for some years, but
we have been forced to move to equipment dictated by the government
for our government contracts.

See www.ramseyelectronics.com for info. Look under test equipment.
Don't forget the high stability oscillator option.

Can take credit cards and ship internationally.
