Antennas too close for comfort?
I'm planning on putting up a Diamond V2000 (6m,2m,70cm) on a side arm with
the apex of an inverted Vee HF dipole hanging underneath. The two rigs these antennas go to, overlap on two bands - 10m and 6m. With the antennas in such close proximity, is there any danger of one rig 'blowing out' the front end of the other? -- Bob D. ND9B |

ND9B Bob If possible, stick a couple of back to back silicon diodes across the begining of the receive path. This has proved adequate to protect commercial receivers from 1kW transmissions on adjacent parallel antennas. Mike G0ULI |
