For instance, with the feed-line allowed to radiate, movement/placement of the coax tends to affect SWR, radiation pattern(s), etc.--sometimes dramatically. This is very undesirable, at least to me, in a mobile/field-day/camping/etc. antenna ... Regards, JS |
