In view of the many years of confusion, misunderstandings, heated arguments, caused amonst radio amateurs by referring to that essential instrument, located between the transmitter output and its tuner/matching network, as an SWR meter, it is proposed its NAME be changed to the TLI. ie., - the TRANSMITTER LOADING INDICATOR - which it what it actually is. Hi Reg, D'you suppose you could explain just a wee bit more what you mean by "Transmitter Loading Indicator"? I'd have thought my rig's plate current meter (and its response to the "tuning" and "loading" controls) handled that pretty well. Cheers, Tom |
