master amps?
just wondering if anyone had any knowledge of the blounder tongue tv master at amp-- it's used in my 13story apt building I can't read the model number looks like it must be at least a few yrs old by guess how are they hf interference wise?? I put a ice tvi filter in front of it but still get a little tvi on 20m on older tvs and a ton on 10(all sets) think an additional filter after the amp might help would replacing the amp w/a newer /better one help ? any tips suggestons appreciated just looking to see if anyone has experience w/this tnx |

It's not unusual for TV sets to suffer from RF incursion through the power supply. Adding a ferrite or two to each set (one on the power cord, on as a common-mode choke for the coax from the distribution amplifier) as close as possible to the set may help. -- Dave Platt AE6EO Hosting the Jade Warrior home page: http://www.radagast.org/jade-warrior I do _not_ wish to receive unsolicited commercial email, and I will boycott any company which has the gall to send me such ads! |
