Default Military Headphones info needed....

Hi All,
I found a box in the shack that I think has military headphones in it.
It is titled: 5965-160-1055 Headset, Elecrtical HS16A. Inside the box
is a foil envelope containing the headphones. The printing on the foil
envelope says Mil-B-131D class2 RAP Industries Inc. Columbus, GA.
August 1966.
Does anyone know what these are and what they might go with? Is there
any value to these? The foil envelope is sealed shut and I would like
to avoid opening it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
rgds,
Mark S.

I bought a couple of the ersatz HS-16's. They purport to be DSA
surplus, but, and contrary to any DSA/DLSA/GSA contract requirement(s),
there are absolutely no source markings on the unit or the package.
There should be a "cage" code (manufacturer's code), valid contract
number (the number listed does not show up on any procurement archive)
and other required data. Also, note that the unit uses metric thread
machining. DSA/DLSA would have (did!) specify ASA machining, at that
time. It does get curiouser and curiouser, but who cares!! If the
toobies want to believe that the TV-7 "specifies" this headset.. that's
OK. If one want's to pay $90, that's OK, too. They are nice, imported
copies of the old HS-16... even if they do crush your skull... out of
the box!! HI!!
PS: Rap Industries are the folks that made the packing materials, not
the headsets.
