That just about says it right there. I've got enough hobbies
already...."running" a radio station is too much like work. And therefore,
unless this makes, rather than costs, me money, I can't see why anyone would
bother.

Some of them are people who collect and restore old radios and can't
find a decent AM station to show off their work so they buy or build a
part 15 transmitter and feed it old radio programs or music.
