It ain't a reddeo unless the meter swings wildly on AM.
(I must clip, remove that damn limiter...it's hurting me!
My reddeo is broke because it has a factory part in it.)

That's been answered already, you'll only increase your splatter
with those snip jobs. Leave it alone.

He's right, cutting limiters only increase splatter.
You are better off getting a good antenna, proper
grounding and if needed a small good amp.
