who have no real idea of CB and are just taking the Mick. Am i wrong?? do
people talk like that on the CB where you live?? Let us know where these
people are so we can avoid them ....

Everyone on CB in the Cardiff and Swansea areas talks like that.

Except that in the Cardiff area, they don't have "handles" ... they
have "angles". As in, "The angle by yer would be Smokey Joe, and the
personal would be Dai".

I used to live in Swansea many moons ago, Ammanford to be exact, a few miles
west of Cardiff i know but still in the general area. Theres some CB type
talk obviously like whats yer 20 is it.... or give me a roger boyo but the
way some people come out on here with their parrot CB lingo its obvious they
are just taking the mick. As far as angle goes maybe they want a 90
degree'ing :o)

This probably originates from someone, in the dim and distant past,
having misheard the word "handle" as "angle" (not difficult,
considering the way Cardiff people speak) ... and the error has been
perpetuated.

Indeed. He claims to have both a now obsolete advanced ham ticket,
(unlikely) and a pilot's license (highly unlikely.)! But he hides
behind a cheezy handle swiped from a cheezy 50's sci-fi show.
