Heard a station sign off --- 73 then 99

But have two inputs now. In the telegraph days, numbers were used for common phrases so as to save time Thus 73 was Best Regards 88 was love and kisses There is a list of 90 + numbers at URL: http://ac6v.com/73.htm#73 The two inputs I have so far are 99 = "Get Lost" probably unofficial 99 = "Love and kisses" (same as 88) So for Vinnie and Scott -- the first definition is for you (;-) Any other inputs ? 99 = "Get Lost" probably unofficial 99 = "Love and kisses" (same as 88) So for Vinnie and Scott -- the first definition is for you (;-) Any other inputs ? Must be some old telegraphers out there Go pound brass and type out some ancient CW. |
