As you might already have noticed, we slightly changed the layout

As well as the layout we will work hard to fill some stuff into
our FORUM (http://www.mmmonvhf.de/minibb/index.php) and here
specialy the propagation parts. We did start with ES and MS and
one section after an other will be filled. If you have anything
to add or comment please use these MMMonVHF FORUM!
Next steps will be to fill the FORUM MS sektion with some tools
(and links to it) which are helpfull on MS...

Beta-Taurids, with maximum on June 28th
After Arietids and Zeta-Perseids have provided good reflections
in first half of June, another daylight shower will follow, peaking
at the end of the month: Beta-Taurids is a medium activity shower
characterized by a relatively flat maximum centered on June 28.

VHF-EXPEDITIONS (specially 144 MHz MS/EME/TROPO)

HELGOLAND - JO34 soon qrv on 144 MHz Meteorscatter
As you possible have seen, Thorsten, DG7TG, was several times qrv
at Helgoland (JO34WE) and did set up some Contest equipment from
there at 2m. He will be as well qrv from this place July 2008, 5th
until 6th in the 144MHz Contest as DL0RSH with 2x13 Element
Cuschraft und 400 Watt. Nowadays he is planning to activate these
rare Square as well during the PERSEIDS Shower in WSJT with 400 Watt
and 2x 13el or 1x 17el M2 as DL0RSH. Because every activity will
be done up to now as a single OP activity, Thorsten now search for
maybe a second OP to be qrv as much as possible over these long
Perseids Periode. By the way, all stuff have to be "hand carried"
to the island and always it has to be paid to the shipper on the

VHF-EVENTS/ACTIVITIES

The members of "The Hungarian Traveling Amateur RadioTeam" to be
active from Liechtenstein again between 23-29th of June. Operators
will be Laci/HA0HW, Tomi/HA4DX and Jozsi/HG4GBE. They will operate
from Masescha (JN47SD, 1350 m ASL) as HB0/homecall. Activity will
be on the 40 - 6m bands, CW, SSB, maybe some digital modes.
The rig: TS-450SAT, FT-840, IC-706 and a mall FET amplifier.
They will use DunaX gps. QSL via HA Bureau is "OK" or direct

HB0/DL7JAN and HB0/DJ2HD will be active from DXCC Lichtenstein
(WW: JN47) on HF and 50 MHz mid of july 2008.
Begin date: 20080715 - End date: 20080719 - Callsign(s): HB0/DL7JAN
and HB0/DJ2HD. Operation will be from 80-6m CW,SSB,RTTY. QSL is ok

I have been advised that things are now finalized for the upcoming
FJ 6m DXpedition being operated by W7XU and W0SD. Their callsign
will be TO5E and the QTH is FK87ov. They will arrive in northeastern
FJ on June 27, and will leave the morning of July 7, and expect to
be QRV June 28 through July 6. They will be using an ACOM 1000 and
a homebrew long boom 7 element yagi. They have an excellent over
water shot from west through north toward the east, and will also
be QRV on JT65A mode for EME skeds on their moonrise and moonset.
They expect to have internet capability. They expect to be active

A large group of SV4 operators will be active as SY4LH from Trikeri
Lighthouse (ARLHS GRE-128, KM19mc) on 5-6 July. They plan to operate
CW, SSB, PSK, RTTY, SSTV on 160-2 metres. All of the QSOs will be
confirmed automatically via the bureau; direct cards should be sent

Jose/CT1EHX, Toze/CT1GFK, Goncalo/CT1GPQ, Miguel/CT1IUA, Rui/CT2IHP,
Jose/CT1DVG, Jose/CT1EPS, Arnaldo/CT2IOV and Moli/EA7AH will operate
SSB, CW and RTTY on 160-6 metres as CS27R on 14-20 July for the 27th
International Motorcycle Rally in Faro. QSL via CT1EHX, direct or

Masa, JA6GXK is once again working on Minami Torishima (OC-073)
until 3 July. As usual, he is QRV as JD1BMM in his spare time.
The Daily DX reports he will install "a new 3 element tribander for
10, 15 and 20 meters, a rotary dipole for 30, 17 and 12 meters and
a 4 element yagi for 6 meters". QSL to Masafumi Ishihara, 2-305
Loran, 2-5-35 Miyazaki, Chuo-ku, Chiba, 260-0806 Japan.

Wojtek, SQ4MP will be joining Michael, G7VJR for the 28 June-4 July
activity from Jan Mayen (EU-022) [425DXN 873]. They will focus on
30, 20 and 17 metres; on 6 metres look for them on ± 50105 kHz CW.
Michael will operate mostly CW, while Wojtek will work CW, SSB
and some RTTY. QSL for either JX/G7VJR and JX/SQ4MP via G7VJR,
direct or bureau. The pilot station will be Chris, GM4FAM. Further
