Default FT1000(D) Advice Needed

Hello OMs:

Does anybody here have experience with the process for removing the
RECTIFIER UNIT from a FT1kD radio?

For the AC line fuse holder to clear the hole in the Rear Panel, the
RECTIFIER UNIT must be shifted laterally and then lifted vertically
from the radio. It appears that either the radio's Rear Panel or its
power transformer must first be separated from the main chassis.

Which approach, the Rear Panel or the power transformer, is best ?

Please advise.
