ICOM announced the replacement for the IC-706, the IC-7000. For one thing, it has 500 memory channels. That's actually the news I was kinda fishing around for. I guess the 706 has been around for, how long, 10-12 years? Been waiting for the new one to come out. bob k5qwg VERY functional. Allows one to keep a piece of paper handy to remember the assignments of 500 frequencies. I'd trade every one of them for another 20 dB of TX phase noise reduction. W4ZCB |
