ICOM announced the replacement for the IC-706, the IC-7000.

For one thing, it has 500 memory channels.


That's actually the news I was kinda fishing around for. I guess the
706 has been around for, how long, 10-12 years?

Been waiting for the new one to come out.

VERY functional. Allows one to keep a piece of paper handy to remember the
assignments of 500 frequencies. I'd trade every one of them for another 20
dB of TX phase noise reduction.
