Passed Tech Exam- Which HT??
In article ,
says...
Passed my Tech Exam today. Only missed one question. Am looking at
HTs. I am considering an IC -T7H from ICOM and a YAESU FT-60R. Leaning
towards the Yaesu. Any thoughts ideas or suggestions?
First... why an HT? Why not a mobile? Worry about an HT later. You wont get
far on an HT.
Second, why not study for the code. Even thought 5 WPM is SO rough (snicker)
you should at least try!
No one ever said I wasn't going to study for the code. I would like to
enjoy the privileges I just earned in the mean time. Why does
everything have to do with code? There are lots of other aspects to the
hobby. No one ever says why not try packet radio or SSTV? They always
ask about code. I'd like to try everything but I got to start
somewhere. I haven't even got my call letters from the FCC yet.
