Default FCC Field Strength Measurements

Wow, do they still do that? I haven't heard of anyone getting nailed for
running illegal power for decades, even though very high power is the
accepted norm in some segments of the amateur community. If they did get
back to busting hams for running more than 1.5 kW, the QRO crowd would
have to QSY to CB (or "freeband" frequencies) where it's safe.

But not to worry, the FCC has its hands full protecting our tender eyes
from busted bras.

You are right on, here Roy, there aren't very many FCC Field Agents left
who actually have done this type of Enforcment Work, but there are a few.
Also there aren't many Field Agents left who can do the required
Calibration on the required Instruments, either, but there are a few.
Mostly the Field Staff spends its time doing Safety of Life and Property
Interference Work, these days, and filling out the Federal Paperwork
required to keep the few Field Offices left, open.

Me one of the few, who could do the work, but who
isn't there anymore........
