Default Recommended Method for PCB mounting of Toroidal Coils

Place a thick plastic washer between the toroid and the board to reduce
stray magnetic and capacitive coupling between coil and metallic surface.
Toroid coils are not completely devoid of coupling to nearby external
objects and surfaces.

Hi..
In the past, I've always mounted my coils vertically but
this time around, I need to mount some horizontally. I was
simply going to glue them to the pcb but wanted first to get
input as to other home brewer's method of mounting toroids to

Several kits drill a hole in the PCB and use a nylon screw
