Hi.. In the past, I've always mounted my coils vertically but this time around, I need to mount some horizontally. I was simply going to glue them to the pcb but wanted first to get input as to other home brewer's method of mounting toroids to a pcb. The toroids will be FT-37-43 type wide band transformers in the 10MHz range. Your input is welcome. Take care. I've always mounted smaller toroids (1" OD with copper) vertically. For larger ones, either a pair of cable ties of some neutral cure silicone adhesive works for me. |
